Gundi, a woman with an eye for beauty and a love of jewelry, is the owner of Silver Creations from the Southwest, the outlet for her artistic talent. Having been in business for 20 years as a wholesale jewelry company located in Albuquerque, NM, Gundi has gained the experience and knowledge to be well recognized. She draws inspiration for her designs from the natural beauty of the southwest, blue New Mexico skies, lush green mountains and the many colors of the desert. She takes great pride in every piece of handcrafted jewelry she designs. Many are unique designs never to be reproduced. She uses only the highest quality precious stones along with the creativity and attention to detail. The results are the finest contemporary southwest jewelry. Artist David Troutman, who is well known for his extraordinary silverwork has worked in collaboration with Gundi for over 12 years during which their combined talent has created countless pieces of beautiful unique jewelry. Much of David's work infuses Hispanic religious art, Celtic, Impressionism, Victorian and Art Deco to name a few. Although David works mostly with silver, he also uses other metals such as gold, platinum or copper. He combines southwestern scenes with traditional stamp work and various colored gemstones. In addition to being a master metal smith he is an expert at lapidary. In an age of mass produced jewelry, David's handmade pieces are unusual and unequaled in quality and workmanship. Gundi's jewelry can be worn individually or as multiple pieces together to achieve a beautiful layered look. She always takes the time to make sure that each piece meets her expectations.
